Food Fonts – Typography Good Enough to Eat

Food Fonts is the biggest collection in the shop and also the most literal: a burger font is built out of burgers, not out of a burger-coloured bevel. Cheese slides, yolks run, crust blisters, beef shows its grain. That is the warning as much as the pitch — these are photographs of food, so they want room and a decent size. Squeeze them onto a small label and the whole thing turns to brown mush.

Food Fonts Sell Food, and a Few Other Things

Menus, packaging and delivery apps are the obvious buyers of Food Fonts, and a word built from the product needs no photograph beside it. Restaurants and cafes use them on windows, boards and paper bags. Beyond catering, though, they turn up wherever a brief wants appetite rather than polish: recipe books, food festivals, supermarket promos, cookery shows and the occasional very literal pun. Steak and raw meat aside, most of these also read fine to children.

One Font File, Plus the Letters on Their Own

Every one of these Food Fonts installs as a normal OpenType font, so a headline is typed rather than assembled. Each character also arrives as a transparent PNG at high resolution, which is what you need when one letter has to sit on a plate, a board or a photograph.

Food Fonts the Grid Could Not Hold

The cards above are the ones with full artwork; the kitchen behind them is considerably larger. Meat and fish come first: Bacon Font, Grilled Sausages Font, Sausages Font, Chopped Meat Font, Mincemeat Font, Fish Font and Caviar Font. Corn, grains and snacks give you Corn Font, Sweet Corn Font, Corn Conserve Font, Corn Flakes Font, Popcorn Font, Golden Popcorn Font and Peanuts Font, and the cold shelf keeps Cheese Font, Moon Cheese Font, Cheese Sans Font, Say Cheese v2 Font, Brown Eggs Font and Milk Skimmed Font.
