Paint Fonts are the collection where the hand shows. A brush runs out of paint halfway through a stroke, bristles leave tracks, an edge feathers into the paper, a drip gets away down the stem of a letter. None of that is tidied up afterwards, because the mess is the reason you would use one of these instead of a clean typeface.

Paint Fonts for Anything That Should Look Hand-Made

Music is the natural home: gig posters, album sleeves, festival line-ups, band merchandise. Streetwear and skate brands take the rougher ones, while galleries, art schools and studio identities prefer the controlled strokes. They also work hard in editorial, where one painted headline carries a whole spread. Worth remembering, though — the wetter and drippier the face, the fewer words it can take. Three is usually the limit.

What Is in the Zip

Each of these Paint Fonts is an OpenType font you install and type with, so the brushwork is not a set of images to place by hand. Every character also arrives on its own as a transparent PNG at high resolution, for the moments when one stroke has to run off the edge of the page.
