Everything here reflects something, which is the practical catch: give these letters a light source in the layout and they sit properly, drop them on flat white and they go dead.

Metal Fonts Go Where Softness Would Be Wrong

Engineering, construction and automotive brands are the obvious buyers, along with tool makers, workshops and garages. Gyms and fight sports take the heavy ones. Rock, metal and industrial music take almost all of them, and so do game interfaces and film titles that want weight. The wire and barbed ones do something different again: they turn up on security, prison drama and anything about being fenced in.

The Practical Part

Every one of these Metal Fonts installs as a normal OpenType font and types from the keyboard. Transparent PNGs of every character come alongside at high resolution, which is what you reach for when a single reflective capital has to sit over a photograph.
