Robot Font Is Assembled Part by Part
No two letters share the same construction, since each one gets its own hardware. Panels butt against panels, and thin seams run between every one of them. Cables loop out of the joints wherever a stroke bends, while hex bolts hold the plates down. Because the parts are small, a letter rewards close looking rather than a glance. So the alphabet works far better big than tiny.
Cold Grey With One Warm Signal
The palette is almost entirely pale machined grey, and that restraint is deliberate. Against it, small cyan lenses glow from inside the letters. Since there is only one accent colour, the eye goes straight to it every time. Meanwhile soft shadows in the seams give the panels real depth. So the letters look machined rather than illustrated.
