Because the crystals are translucent, light passes through their tips and pools in the facets. Then the black body stays completely opaque by contrast. Meanwhile the points cluster thickest at the open ends of each stroke. Naturally no two letters erupt in the same places.
Violet, Teal and Absolute Black
