Urban Rubbish Font builds every capital out of tied black bin bags. Knots sit where a serif would go, the polythene creases and shines, and the odd bottle presses through from inside. Counters stay open, since the bag is cinched around them. It comes as an OTF you type with, plus separate PNG letters on transparent backgrounds.
Urban Rubbish Font Ties Every Letter Shut
Each capital starts as a bag, filled and then knotted at the top. So the knot lands where a serif would sit, and it gives the letter a small ear. Strokes bulge low down, since the weight settles toward the bottom of the plastic. Counters stay open too, because the bag is cinched tight around the hole. Widths shift a little between letters, as no two bags were tied the same way. Nothing repeats exactly, so a doubled letter never looks copied.
Black Polythene Instead of Black Ink
Look closely and the surface does the talking. Creases run in long diagonals, while the highlights break into small hard flares. Under the sheen you can make out a bottle here, a folded box there. Meanwhile the black never goes flat, because the plastic catches whatever light it gets. Shadows gather in the folds as well, so the strokes hold their shape on pale backgrounds. That weight carries down to smaller sizes too.
