Real fur, rosettes and all

Each letter is, of course, covered in real leopard pelt rather than a printed pattern. Black rosettes then sit over a warm golden ground, with a ginger shade inside the rings. The markings run at different angles per glyph, so a word never repeats itself. Where a stroke curves, the fur bends and the spots stretch with it. Because the coat is genuinely dense, the letters also read as heavy. Nothing about the pattern looks tiled.

Hairs that break the outline

Meanwhile the outline is deliberately fuzzy. Loose hairs stand out past the edge and catch the light as fine gold threads. That halo is what stops the shapes looking like a texture fill. On white it reads soft, while on black it turns almost sculptural. Up close, besides, you can count individual hairs. Even the ampersand and the numerals keep their strays.

Leopard Font for fashion and wild branding

Fashion is the obvious ground for the Leopard Font, of course. Below it sits on a shoebox, a poster series, a set of dark notebooks and a large safari headline. Music covers, nightlife flyers and beauty packaging also take it easily. Wildlife charities and documentary titles work too, since the coat is the real thing. Set it on a plain background, then let the fur do the work.

The Leopard Font character set and files

Capitals, numerals, currency signs and basic punctuation are all covered too. The Leopard Font installs as a plain OTF, so you type headlines directly. Alongside that, every glyph comes as a high-resolution PNG on a transparent background. Those keep the loose hairs intact over any photograph. For orange stripes instead see the Tiger Font, or else browse the Fur Fonts collection.
