Comic Monster Font. May Bite If Provoked.

49.00$ 34.30$

Lumpy olive letters drawn with hard black comic ink, each one sprouting mismatched eyeballs and the odd toothy grin. The Comic Monster Font covers letters, numbers and punctuation, and the symbols grew faces too. Mockups run from a five-storey SALE wrap to sprayed graffiti and a pair of posters. Supplied as an OTF plus transparent PNG letters.

Every Letter Grew Its Own Face

Count the eyeballs on a single glyph, and you will lose track fast. Each letter is a lumpy olive creature, warty and faintly damp, with mismatched eyes wedged wherever they fit. Some open a mouth as well, though the teeth rarely line up. Because the eye colours shift from letter to letter, no two glyphs feel like siblings. Whole words therefore end up staring back at the reader.

Ink Lines Are What Make the Comic Monster Font Work

Hard black ink outlines every shape, while cross-hatching handles the shading. So this reads as comic-book art rather than a creature photograph. Which helps on flat colour, since the outline keeps each letter from dissolving. Also the drawn look stays funny instead of frightening. Our other monsters chase realism; the Comic Monster Font stays firmly on the page.

Kids Menus, Band Merch and a Wall in Spray Paint

First up, one mockup blows the word SALE across a five-storey yellow building wrap. Then a white tee shouts OMG, while a brick wall carries a sprayed NO beside a horned head. There are posters too, one pink and one framed, each with a short monster line. In addition, Halloween promos, kids books, game titles and skate graphics all suit it. Even the at sign and the percent symbol grew eyes, so captions stay in character.

Unleashing the Comic Monster Font

Type it from a normal OTF, and the creatures appear as you go. The PNG letters come loose as well, transparent and big enough to print. For a warty photoreal cousin without the ink, try our Ugly Monster Font instead. Meanwhile the Monster Fonts collection gathers the rest of the pack together. Naturally, none of them blink.
