Woven from a hundred thin twigs

Each capital is bundled, of course, rather than carved. Dozens of thin grey branches cross at every angle, and the gaps between them stay open. So you can see straight through the thickest strokes in places. Some twigs even overshoot the corners and stick out. Because the twigs are laid by hand, no two letters weave the same way. The silhouette still holds, though, since a firm sans sits underneath.

Fresh green sprigs breaking through

Small green leaves also push out along the edges. They stay sparse rather than decorative, so the wood keeps the lead role. That single spot of green likewise stops the palette going flat grey. Ends of snapped branches show pale raw wood, meanwhile, which reads as freshly gathered. Nothing here looks sprayed on or stuck flat. Up close, besides, the bark texture is genuinely rough.

Twigwood Font for eco brands and quiet luxury

Eco and slow-living brands take the Twigwood Font first, naturally. Look below for a canvas tote, a framed print, a flag, a tee and a book cover. Beyond that, it fits farm shops, garden centres, festival posters and craft packaging. On warm cream it looks calm, while on forest green it turns almost editorial. So big and sparse beats small and busy here.

The Twigwood Font files, and where to go next

The Twigwood Font arrives as a working OTF, so a headline takes seconds. Letters, numerals, currency signs and punctuation are included too. In addition, every glyph comes as a high-resolution PNG on a transparent background. Those drop straight over a photograph instead of needing a mask. For bare branches without leaves try the Dry Twigs Font, or else browse the Nature Fonts collection.
