Choco Font. Milk Chocolate Letters That Drip

49.00$ 34.30$

Warm milk chocolate, caught about ten minutes after somebody left it near a radiator. Every fat rounded letter has a drip sliding off it, and a few have already puddled. The sheen stays satin, so it reads as edible rather than plastic. Sweet shops, dessert menus and Easter packaging are the obvious homes.

Letters Left Somewhere Warm for Ten Minutes

At first these letters were fine. Then the room warmed up, and now every stroke has a drip hanging off it. Some drips are still on their way down, while others have already puddled at the baseline. Of course somebody should have moved them away from the radiator. Even so, nothing has actually fallen off yet. Naturally the tops stay smooth and glossy, so the melt reads as recent rather than ruined.

Milk, Not Dark, and the Difference Shows

In fact the brown runs warm and light, closer to a milk bar than to cooking chocolate. Because the sheen is satin instead of mirror, the letters look edible rather than plastic. Besides, the shapes are fat, round and friendly, with generous counters. Above all, the drips vary in length, so a word never looks stamped from one mould. Figures and punctuation likewise melt at the same rate.

Choco Font on Wrappers, Menus and Shop Windows

First of all, sweet shops. Besides those, the gallery shows a gift carton, a turquoise tee and a pink-and-yellow cookbook. The Choco Font also holds up on a cafe chalkboard, since the shapes stay chunky when small. Because the brown is warm, it sits happily on pink, mint and cream. Since the drips hang below the baseline, leave a little extra room under each line. So chocolate brands and dessert menus take it without any argument.
