Baked, Cracked and Studded With Chocolate
Each letter here is a cookie that came out of the oven rather pleased with itself. The dough shows a pale golden crust, cracked across the top exactly as real biscuits crack. Dark chocolate chips sit half-sunk in that surface, and a few of them catch the light. Edges stay fat and rounded, so counters in the O and the D read like bite holes. Nothing about it is tidy, which is of course the whole point.
